Affiliate Disclosure

Last updated: March 26, 2026

SoftVault Software (“we,” “us,” or “our”) believes in full transparency with our readers. This page explains how we make money, how that affects our content, and what it means for you.

What is an affiliate link?

An affiliate link is a tracked URL that tells a retailer or software vendor that a visitor came from our site. When you click an affiliate link on SoftVault Software and complete a purchase, we may earn a small commission. The price you pay is exactly the same — you pay nothing extra, and the commission comes from the retailer’s own margin, not from you.

Which links are affiliate links?

Any link that directs you to a third-party retailer or software vendor to make a purchase may be an affiliate link. This includes but is not limited to links to LicenseRetail, software vendors’ own websites, and other authorized resellers we recommend in our articles.

We do not individually label every affiliate link in every article, as this would make our content difficult to read. Instead, we disclose our affiliate relationship clearly on this page, in our Privacy Policy, and with a brief note at the bottom of articles that contain affiliate links.

How affiliate income affects our content

It doesn’t — and here is why we mean that seriously.

We evaluate every product we cover based on its own merits: features, value for money, ease of use, and suitability for our readers’ needs. A product does not get recommended because it has an affiliate program. A product does not get a better review because the commission is higher. A product does not get a worse review because it has no affiliate relationship with us.

We have turned down affiliate partnerships with products we don’t believe in. We have recommended free tools with no affiliate relationship when they were the best answer to a reader’s question. Our editorial team makes all coverage decisions independently of our commercial team.

Who we currently work with

We have affiliate relationships with selected software retailers and vendors including LicenseRetail. We only enter affiliate partnerships with retailers we have independently evaluated and are comfortable recommending to our readers.

This list may change over time as we add or remove partners. The presence of a retailer on this list does not mean every product they sell is recommended by SoftVault Software — we recommend specific products based on their individual merit.

FTC compliance

This disclosure is made in compliance with the United States Federal Trade Commission (FTC) guidelines on endorsements and testimonials (16 CFR Part 255), which require that material connections between a reviewer and a product or service be clearly disclosed.

If you are outside the United States, similar disclosure requirements may apply under your local advertising and consumer protection laws. We aim to meet the highest standard regardless of jurisdiction.

No sponsored content

SoftVault Software does not publish sponsored articles, paid reviews, or promoted content of any kind. Every article on this site reflects our genuine editorial opinion. If this ever changes, we will clearly label sponsored content as such.
